On 8/22/2026, we are open for public browsing and use, as long as people do not enter areas marked off with yellow tape. We may need to return to modified services a few more times, without patrons being able to browse independently, depending on contractors' presence and whether people heed the caution tape and stay out of active work areas. Please call ahead next week to check the status of work if you plan to use the library tables or browse collections independently.

There are three new bestsellers, twelve new children's books, and 21 other new books, including one that is available online.

The new bestsellers this week are "Delusional," "God's Country," and "The Pioneer Woman Cooks: 120 Greatest Hits, New Twists, and Perfected Classics."

UPDATE: ALL CHAIRS HAVE FOUND NEW HOMES. Thank you! FREE to a good home: wooden chairs with blue upholstered backs and seats. Currently have about 22 rounded-back and 8-10 straight-back chairs. First come, first served.

We are still under modified services while some painting and electrical work is being done. In the meantime, please check out our online catalog at https://somersetcolibrary.org/books-more/catalog/ . You can place a hold on any items you would like to check out and we will be happy to pull them for you. If you need any help, let us know.
We do have laptops available for use, and we are able to offer printing, copying, and faxing services as normal. Follow the signs to the back side of the library where we are set up and ready to help you.

As soon as it is safe to do so, we will open our doors to allow you to browse. Thank you for your continued patience as we finish up this phase of construction.
