Join the Regiment!

This October, Samuel Harriman, co-founder of Somerset and Civil War veteran, would have turned 200! To celebrate, we've set up a special display at the library in his honor.

Think you have what it takes to enlist? Robert does! He's already signed up to join the 37th Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry, the regiment Harriman commanded as colonel. Stop by the display, pick up your enlistment card, and see how many challenges you can complete.

While you're here, browse our collection of books and movies about the Civil War, from battlefield histories and soldiers' letters to novels, documentaries, and films for all ages.

Thank you, Robert, for being our first recruit!

A big thanks to League of Women Voters St. Croix Valley for being our guest readers at story time! We read some books about elections, voted for the best pet to have (cat won), and provided information to parents and caregivers about the upcoming election.

This will be the same PIN you use to log into the MORE Catalog and MORE Libraries app.
