The dreidels were spun, the (fake) fireplaces lit, the latkes (ok, tots) eaten, the cookies baked (and also eaten), all the faces full of smiles, and our very own Santa even paid us a visit last week! (Thanks, Mrs. Mitchell for always going the above and beyond with your costume dedication.) And an extra special thanks to all the parents who were able to take the time out of your own holiday chaos to help ensure our class celebrations were taken care of - it truly takes a village, and ours is full of generosity and helpers!

Run turkey, run turkey, RUN FAR AWAY🤣 today was Thanksgiving Day!
Yesterday our 4s welcomed parents and siblings into the class to witness the annual, and always PHENOMENAL turkey show. Family members were also then treated to baked goods, school-made by students and staff!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all our LPOS family, current and otherwise - we are so thankful for all of you!

Today our staff returned to the classrooms after our professional learning day equipped with new insights into anxiety at the preschool age, how it might manifest in early childhood, and with new techniques to try when faced with a student presenting with anxiety-based symptoms. Staff were treated to an in-depth presentation by Danielle Perry, MS.Ed, before breaking into small groups based on classroom age. Special thank you to Danielle, and to Katonah Village Kids for hosting!

Today we turned back the clocks an hour, but we REALLY wish we could turn them back to Halloween! The costumes (purple witches/wizards seemed to be a real hit this year, as well as some very clever sibling coordinated ones!), the parties, the games, the 4’s parade - what a celebration! Hoping everyone had a safe and happy Halloween!

Halloween Parade!
Don’t miss this fun Halloween parade on 10/25 at Somers town center. Lineup behind the chase bank and parade to Valley Park, where there will be festivities, including DJ, games, craft tables and more run by the Somers Leos.
