This morning, our school community gathered together to celebrate the Mass of the Holy Spirit and reflect on the anniversary of September 11.
Before mass, Mrs. McKeegan, Vice Principal, shared, “Here at Kennedy Catholic and St. Mary’s Academy, we belong to one another…and that means we have a responsibility to one another. So today, as we remember September 11, let us honor all who we have lost…not only with a moment of remembrance, but by considering how we treat the people standing beside us. Let us be quick to show kindness. Be quick to forgive. Quick to notice someone who is struggling. And slow to judge or tear one another down. Because peace does not begin somewhere far away. It begins here - in our classrooms, in our hallways, on our playing fields, in our homes, and in the way we choose to treat one another. May we never forget that we belong to each other.”
Come, Holy Spirit.
