We are looking for Gardening Angels willing to stop by on the weekend and give the gardens a little water. We have staff willing to do it on work days, but on very hot weekends or holidays, if you have a minute and can stop by, the hose is right by the gardens, hanging on the trellis.

This year the Solon Elementary School built what we are calling the Solon Outdoor Learning Center. This space consists of a pollinator flower garden, a root vegetable raised bed for carrots and potatoes and a large learning garden. The learning garden is almost 100 sq feet in space. It has trellises across the back for mini pumpkins, cukes, peas and morning glories. In the main bed we have a wide variety of vegetables and herbs. The learning garden has 24 log seats. The entire school helped prepare the beds and planted seedlings or seeds right in the garden. It was a whole school event and our foundation for the future.
