Creativity can be sticky business! During today’s Duck Dash Challenge, student volunteers at Lewis teamed up in pairs to create three-dimensional sculptures with marshmallows and spaghetti. They had less than two minutes to build their works of art as their classmates cheered them on.

The activity sparked conversations about how creativity involves experimenting, exploring and trying new things, as well as solving problems when things don’t work out as planned. Students also explored how collaboration can help them create something truly unique.

Today’s focus on creativity was part of a week of challenges tied to the schoolwide fundraiser. Other challenges highlighted character traits such as patience, generosity, reliability and adaptability.

With each challenge, students are practicing skills that help them learn, work together and contribute to their school community.
