This is a work in progress but today during open studio I taught the kids how to make a repeating pattern! They chose to draw an homage to their cat 🐱, expressive florals with butterflies 🦋, and a soccer ball ⚽️ / whistle / goal motif. I can’t wait to share those next!

We had an epic culmination day (Friday) of open studios! The girls finished their dioramas on Thursday so we had time to marble paper using shaving cream and food coloring as well as make THE BIGGEST SLIME I think SHoMA has ever seen. It also smelled pretty good, too! Jack continued work on his large-format drawing and thankfully remembered to bring his sculpture back so I could photograph it that will be on the next post! He did such a great job on that elephant 🐘 then of course there was the final 30-minutes of sprinkler trampoline! So much fun 🤩 I think I’ll do this again in late August!

Slime-making was documented April 26th but I've just been too busy to post!
These 4 went in thinking they were making 2 slimes but walked out the door with double! Holy moly we made a mess but also had great fun. The slimes were themed, gorgeous, and smelled divine. The final 2 girls to leave had time to name all the slimes as well. We will definitely do it again another Sunday afternoon.
