Hello Montessori Families,

PLEASE WATCH THE VIDEO ATTACHED TO THIS MESSAGE!

We are changing where students will be picked up. Students will only be dismissed from the back parking lot starting tomorrow (8-20-26). Please come from the Safeway direction. You may only turn right into the back parking lot. We will clear the gravel part of the lot of any cars. This area will be ready for pick up. When you have your child and are leaving, please ONLY turn right out of the lot. Head towards SOHI. I think this will help the traffic flow well. This will help us avoid the problems we had today. Many cars are arriving early. We believe we cannot manage this. So, we will move pick up to this back parking lot.

WHEN: TOMORROW, AUGUST 20 (The 2nd day of school) @ 3:35 PM
WHY: Too many cars in the front lot and many arriving outside the expected time for parent pickup.
WHAT: We are moving SMCS pickup to the back parking lot. Please watch the video to see the suggested traffic flow.

Thank you. We will try this for the first time tomorrow. It should work better than what happened today. It might not be perfect the first time.

📢 SMCS 2026–2027 Schedule & Dismissal Times

Here is the daily schedule and pick-up information for SMCS students for the upcoming school year:

⏰ Daily Schedule:

Start Time: 9:05 AM

SMCS Student Dismissal: 3:35 PM – 3:45 PM

Bus Departure: 3:50 PM

🚗 Pick-Up Location Info:
To keep traffic moving smoothly and clear the front loop before SOEL dismisses, all regular front-loop pick-ups must be completed by 3:45 PM.

📍 Arriving after 3:45 PM? Please proceed to the back parking lot for student pick-up.

What a great school picnic! Everyone was served in less than 30 minutes! SUPER SPECIAL THANK YOU to the 3 Ben's who cooked for us today. Thanks for taking care of us, guys!
