We offer Academic Advising services on the Kenai River Campus. All students are welcome.
Academic Advising at KPC
All students are strongly urged to see an Academic Advisor before registering. KPC's excellent Advisors are available to help students determine academic and career goals, select courses, monitor progress toward graduation, understand financial aid and identify resources and support. Students are highly recommended to meet with an Advisor at least once a semester prior to
registering for courses in order to prevent problems and graduation delays. Be proactive and ensure you are accessing all of the resources available! At the Kenai River Campus:
Schedule an appointment to meet with a general academic advisor by calling (907) 262-0383 or toll-free (877) 262-0330 (ask for the advising department). For a list of faculty advisors for each area of study visit the Areas of Study section of our website. Please note that the KRC Advising Department offers "real-time" office appointments through the Internet or telephone. These appointments are designed to provide information in a timely fashion and for students who wish to talk to a live person without having to visit campus to talk to an academic advisor in person. Students can schedule appointments via Zoom, in-person, or over the phone.
*Please note that KPC Advising only provides general advising such as applying for admission, completing pre-requisites, interpreting test scores, and transferring credits. After students declare a major, they will be referred to their faculty advisor for continued advising in a degree program. Our qualified advisors are available to assist students of all ages and backgrounds. Individual and group sessions are available to help students be successful in the college environment, determine their self-direction and in overcoming obstacles that may prevent their academic success. Advisors aid students with program planning, transfer coordination, student success strategies and logistics of the college experience. All services are free to enrolled and prospective students on a drop-in or appointment basis.
