What a score! A bundle of 1930-40’s fabrics! Some would be original flour sacks. I first noticed what great quality that the fabric is, and Made in America I’m sure. Can we get back to this? One of the things that I love, but it also makes me sad, is many of the antiques that come across my path we’re made in this country. And yes this is why they have survived the test of time!

For all you glass lovers out there, just a fun description of some beautiful handmade glassware, hope you enjoy!
This is a Victorian cranberry glass wine server , circa 1890. This hand blown piece has a ruffled spout rim which is clear glass, and had a clear glass ruffled ball finial stopper. The body of the pitcher is cranberry glass, encased in metal, possibly pewter. The heavily ornate metalwork used to form the split handle, frame, and base is know as openwork. On of the main design elements in the metal is a woman'ls face. This pitcher measures 9" H x 5" W, and is in excellent condition. This piece has no maker's marks on it, but research shows it was made in the German style possibly by Therestenthal or Lichtinger of Munich Germany.

Latest repurposed item! Old window, reproduction tin, and fine pieces of old linens. I soooo appreciate the skill and the time that are fore-mothers took in creating such lovely pieces of art. I read a quote once that said "A craft is the practical application of an art rather than art as an end in itself" author unknown. I esteem these old linens and those that put their tender loving care into them to create practical pieces of art.
