I have traveled the world and my musical endeavors with Alaska being my home. Each person requires a different teaching approach. Whether with a use of imagery, dry facts, story telling, imitation, references to things you enjoy or physical hand on hand experience, my job is to find out what speaks to the student the most and use it to the fullest. Music touches us in ways we don’t expect. Sometimes tears come uninvited. Let them! Enjoy the music! This is beautiful. I love being able to read music, memorize, play by ear, geek out about music history and even just jam with other musicians. Music enriches everyone and every culture!
