NorthStar Education Hi! My name is Joanna, and I am the owner of NorthStar Education. I love tutoring people. I love making new ideas accessible to everyone.

My subject specialties are math and music, but I have experience with pretty much every subject K-12. I am an enthusiastic teacher, lover of outdoors and solver of troubles. I love helping and serving people and being in the great outdoors. I was born in Alaska, grew up and educated in Canada, went to both college and university with a broad study of subjects under a music major including biology, philosophy, theology, leadership, and history to name a few subjects I've studies. I've played piano and just about every wind instrument in orchestra and sang in classical, jazz, and acapella choirs. My subject specialties are math, piano and beginning guitar. I believe in giving a well-rounded education in order to give students the most tools so the can interact more fully with the world around them.
