The studio is officially closed for the summer! 🎉

Thank you to everyone who made our 8-week summer semester so much fun. I truly appreciate each of you for your hard work, enthusiasm, and support.

The studio will be closed throughout the month of August. Keep an eye out in mid-August, when I'll be sharing the fall calendar and class schedule. I'll also let everyone know as soon as registration opens. Classes are planned to begin sometime in September.

Enjoy the rest of your summer, get some well-deserved rest, and I can't wait to see you all back in the studio this September! ❤️

I can't believe we're already in the last week of summer lessons! Where did the summer go? If the sunshine could stick around and time could slow down just a little, I'd have no complaints! ☀️

Our final day of our summer session will be Thursday, July 30, and then I'll be switching gears and working on the fall schedule. Fall lessons will begin sometime in September. Please be on the lookout for that.

Keep an eye on your email and messages, as there will be a few studio changes this year along with the year resources such as the studio policy and fall semester calendar plus all fun stuff. I'll be sending out all the details soon, so stay tuned!

Last Frontier Piano Studio will be 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟏𝟑–𝟏𝟕 and no lessons will be held during that time.

I'll be in Anchorage teaching at Mountain Sound Piano Studio 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭-𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐤𝐚 𝐏𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐨 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩* alongside four other wonderful teachers. I'm looking forward to spending the week working with 17 talented students and being part of this exciting new program!

Our Summer Session runs from June 2nd through July 30th!

Each student has been assigned the number of lesson packages they requested for the summer and is now ready to enroll.

Summer is here, and the weather is finally starting to feel like it! We can't wait to see everyone in the studio this season. 🌞🎶

On Saturday, May 9th, our studio held its annual Spring Studio Recital! 🎹

Due to the size of the studio this year, we experimented with splitting the recital into two groups, and it went splendidly. It created a more relaxed and enjoyable experience for everyone, so we will definitely be continuing that format in the future as long our studio maintains this size.

This was honestly one of the strongest years our studio has had, despite having fewer lessons in the school calendar this year. Our studio currently has a very large group of late elementary levels students, along with many middle school, and early high school students, and the amount of growth and musical maturity this year was incredible to witness.

We had 46 students perform, plus a few sibling photo crashers in the group picture 😂 I am so proud of every student for their hard work throughout recital season, Federation events, and lessons this year. There was a tremendous amount of progress made across the studio.

Thank you to all of the families for your support this year. Have a wonderful and restful break, everyone. I look forward to seeing many of you this summer and again next fall. Keep up the great work! 🎶

These are our 2026 AKFMC Gold Cup winners — minus one student who wasn’t able to attend the recital. She earned two 15-point cups this year in Piano Solo and Theory! 8 cups were awarded this year.

Some students earned 15-point cups while others reached 30-point cups through their participation in the Alaska Federation of Music Clubs festivals. We even had students earn awards in both Piano Solo and Theory this year!

I’m incredibly proud of all of these students and the hard work, consistency, and dedication they showed throughout the year. Congratulations on a fantastic achievement! 🎹🏆

𝐅𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐝, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐨 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐝. These registration periods were available for current students in the studio.

Thank you to all of my studio families for communicating your fall and summer plans, reviewing the updated tuition, and working through the summer policy with me. I truly appreciate your commitment—it’s what keeps the studio strong.

As we head into next fall, I will be 𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐲 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐨 𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧 to maintain a healthy balance and continue offering high-quality lessons.

Fall Registration is coming along! 🎹 It’s been great to see who’s renewing for next year.

We will have a few students not continuing—some due to high school schedules, some exploring new instruments, and of course my three graduating seniors. Because of this, the studio roster will reduce a tad bit unless if I replace slots.

Reminder: Fall Registration closes next Sunday evening! I’ll be sending one final reminder. This registration is only for current students.
