POV: Your “music kids” grow up, become family, and run the local music store! My music teacher heart is full!

Annika (left) served with me on our church’s worship team as a young teenager. Ryder and Keegan (Annika’s BIL and Husband) were in my elementary music classes. Annika and Keegan bought the music store in our hometown earlier this year and now they, as well as a few of my other former students, teach lessons to dozens of students around Soldotna, Alaska. Check out 🎶 They are doing awesome things!

🌻 Spring Recital 2026 🌻 Everyone did an amazing job and I’m so proud of all the progress these students made this semester!

We have just 3 more weeks remaining of our spring semester, ending May 22. Our Recital is this Saturday and I’m so excited to see everyone perform! ✨

Summer Lessons will run June 1 - August 1, with 9 weeks of lessons available on Tuesdays & Wednesdays between 12-6pm. Reach out to reserve your summer slot!! 💐

We had a great time playing for the folks at Aspen Creek Assisted Living today ✨Bonnie, one of the residents, played Silent Night for us. I’m so grateful for opportunities like this for students to play for our community and listen to others perform.
