**The Wonder Circle **

Mrs. Killeen and Mr. Moderski are bringing a little "search for wonderfulness" to the weekly special rotation with our newest 4K class: The Wonder Circle!

Today, our friends wondered together: how are we the same, and how are we different? We even noticed we might all have eyes — but no two are exactly alike! We practiced getting curious, learning from the friends around us, and moved through some Bal-A-Vis-X together. Then we looked closely — really closely — in mirrors, noticing our own eyes, before coming together to create one collaborative art piece as a class.

Curiosity, connection, and a little wonder — that's what Wonder Circle is all about. 🎨👀

✨ Making Room for the Wonderful ✨

There is always pressure in education to add more. More instruction. More practice. More programs. More ways to make every minute “productive.” But sometimes, the most meaningful thing we can add to a child’s day is simply more childhood. ❤️

This year, our first graders have something new built right into their school day: PLAYTIME!

Time to imagine. Build. Create. Negotiate the rules of a game. Solve little problems with friends. Be silly. Make something out of nothing. And just be six or seven years old together.

As we lean into our theme of creating a Wonderful Kind of Day, we’re thinking intentionally about what makes an elementary school day wonderful in the first place.

Yes, we want our kids to learn and grow. We also want them to have time to wonder, move, laugh, create, connect and play.

In a world that keeps asking childhood to move faster, we’re pretty proud to make a little more room for it. ✨

Learn. Work. Play.
There’s room for all three here. ❤️

These statewide awards celebrate Wisconsin educators for their leadership, dedication, innovation, and impact on students and school communities.

REMINDER: There will be an Athletic Parent/Athlete meeting on Tuesday, August 25 at 6:30pm in the Performance Center.

Any athlete entering 6th-12th grades interested in participating in any athletics this school year should attend the meeting with their parents/guardians.

Information regarding the athletic code, practice dates, schedules, expectations, and more will be given.

A general meeting will be given by our Athletic Director - Mr. Murphy to start, and then each fall sport will break off for further information from each coach.
