The Masters of Aesthetics Symposium will feature a large and diverse group of the world leaders, inventors and innovators in the fields of lasers, energy-based treatments, toxins, soft tissue fillers and all areas of aesthetic-based treatments; truly the “Masters” of aesthetics. The theme of the meeting is “Cutting-Edge Aesthetics: techniques and pearls.” The course objectives will focus on practi

cal tips for practitioners to learn cutting-edge aesthetic techniques and treatment pearls. This is the first meeting to emphasize optimal treatment settings and clinical endpoints that can immediately translate into clinical practice. Clearly, there is a need for such a meeting in this ever-expanding field, where best practices are often mysterious to new and experienced practitioners alike. The multitude of new devices (many for treating the same condition) has made it even more confusing and difficult to evaluate whether any particular device will fit into your practice successfully. The scientific program is ever-evolving and will feature front-line technologies in energy-based devices, injectables, and aesthetic procedures.

We are thrilled to announce that Mitchel P. Goldman, MD, is the recipient of the 2026 Richard E. Fitzpatrick Award at Masters of Aesthetics.

This award recognizes individuals whose careers have had an exemplary impact on aesthetic dermatology and innovation—and few embody that legacy more fully than Dr. Goldman.

An internationally recognized leader in dermatologic and laser surgery, Dr. Goldman has written or coauthored 21 textbooks and more than 400 peer-reviewed publications and textbook chapters. His pioneering research has advanced laser skin resurfacing, treatment of leg veins, intense pulsed light photorejuvenation, tattoo and pigmented-lesion treatment, endovenous vein closure, laser lipolysis, and fractional resurfacing.

Dr. Goldman founded SkinMedica and Cosmetic Laser Dermatology and has held leadership positions across many of our specialty’s most important professional organizations. He is a past president of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, holds seven patents, and continues to advise and invest in emerging medical technologies.

Faculty Spotlight - Dr. Ava Shamban
Dr. Ava Shamban is a board-certified dermatologist who graduated magna cm laude from Harvard University and earned her medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Dr. Ibrahimi is the founding and medical director of the Connecticut Skin Institute. Faculty Spotlight - Dr. Brian Biesman
Dr. Biesman specializes in cosmetic and reconstructive eyelid and facial surgery. In addition to his surgical practice, Dr. Biesman specializes in minimally invasive rejuvenation techniques including injectables (neuromodulators and soft tissue fillers), technology-based solutions (laser skin resurfacing, treatment of unwanted pigment and vascular lesions, noninvasive body contouring and related techniques), and the use of topical agents to enhance skin health and appearance. Dr. Biesman serves as a Clinical Associate Professor at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Nashville, TN, where he holds appointments in the divisions of Ophthalmology, Dermatology and Otolaryngology -Head and Neck Surgery.
