SCOPE Health Council is excited to invite our community to an unforgettable FREE Back-to-School Event featuring ARTRAGEOUS®—an interactive, high-energy performance that combines live music, incredible visual art, comedy, audience participation, and inspiration into one amazing experience!

Breanne, Makenzie, Dru, Abby, Kathleen, Sasha, and Maddison (not pictured) were our XC competitors of the week for PREPARE. Each of these girls set the goal of completing 100 (MS) or 150 (HS) miles over the summer to be ready for this season. And they did it!

Hello Socorro County!

SCOPE was awarded the Out of School time funding from NMPED, as part of this, SCOPE is seeking a Youth Podcast Facilitator to support our youth-led podcast program.
This is a contractor position with a monthly stipend.

The facilitator will work directly with youth to build their skills and confidence in podcasting. Responsibilities will include teaching and engaging youth in how to plan, record, produce, and operate their monthly podcast episodes.

Position Details:

Contractor position with a monthly stipend
Weekly sessions, approximately 2 hours per week
Support youth in developing and producing their monthly podcast
Teach basic podcasting, recording, interviewing, and production skills
Encourage youth leadership, creativity, and engagement
Must be able to pass a background check
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about working with youth, comfortable with podcasting or media production, and able to create a supportive and engaging learning environment.

SCOPE Council Invitation:

Join us for a hike in the Bosque del Apache Wildlife Reserve, at the Rio Viejo Trailhead. Heather will be helping participants apply Leave No Trace principles on a two mile hike.

Stop at the Bosque del Apache Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center, and SCOPE will cover the cost of the visitor's day pass. After the hike, you can use the pass for the rest of the day!
