🚨 MILITARY ORDNANCE RECOGNITION FOR PUBLIC SAFETY BOMB TECHNICIANS

Military ordnance threats require specialized knowledge, sound judgment, and the right safety measures.

The MOR-PSBT course provides active, certified public safety bomb technicians with performance-level classroom instruction and hands-on field training focused on:

• Identifying military ordnance and associated hazards
• Applying safety measures to mitigate community risk
• Practical ordnance identification and response scenarios
• Lessons learned from historic military ordnance incidents
• Standardized incident reporting through ATF BATS
• Building the knowledge needed to provide military ordnance hazard awareness training within their agencies

Designed to challenge, develop, and prepare PSBT operators for real-world military ordnance threats.

Our Drone Assessment and Response Tactics (DART) course equips emergency personnel with the skills to detect, identify, track, assess, respond to, and report drone activity.

Participants will also learn about current criminal and terrorist UAS threats, detection techniques, and effective response tactics.

Preparation saves lives, especially in high-risk, rapidly evolving threats.

The Tactical Response to Su***de Bombing Incidents (TRSBI) course is designed specifically for law enforcement tactical officers and personnel who routinely support or operate alongside tactical teams. This training builds the critical knowledge and skills needed to prevent, deter, and respond to su***de bombing incidents in real-world environments.

Through a combination of expert-led lectures, in-depth discussions, case studies, and live-explosive field demonstrations, participants gain practical insight into how these threats develop, and how to effectively respond when every second counts.

Officers will learn strategies for:
• Preventing and deterring su***de bombing threats
• Responding to active su***de bomber situations
• Managing post-blast incident environments
• Strengthening coordinated tactical response under pressure

First responders are the backbone of every community and preparation is what makes the difference when seconds matter.

NMT/EMRTC First Responder Training, through New Mexico Tech and the Energetic Materials Research and Testing Center, provides federally certified, DHS/FEMA-supported courses designed specifically for the realities responders face in the field. From preventing and responding to bombing incidents to addressing the evolving threat of criminal and terrorist use of unmanned aircraft systems, this training is built for real-world readiness.

As a founding member of the National Domestic Preparedness Consortium, NMT/EMRTC has spent over 20 years strengthening national preparedness alongside FEMA and other federal partners. Their programs are offered at no cost to state, local, tribal, and territorial agencies, making high-level training accessible to the people who need it most.

With hands-on instruction, including live demonstrations at a 40-square-mile field laboratory, responders gain not just knowledge, but experience that builds confidence under pressure. More than 600,000 first responders have already trained through NMT/EMRTC programs with one shared mission: safeguarding our communities.
