Big news in clean energy ☀️🔋
Last week, Meta announced two partnerships pushing the boundaries of what's possible for powering AI infrastructure.
We're working with Overview Energy to bring solar power from space to Earth—satellites collecting sunlight around the clock and beaming it to solar farms on the ground. And we're partnering with Noon Energy on ultra-long-duration storage that can hold clean energy for days, not just hours.
These are the kinds of investments that help strengthen the grid and support reliable power for our data center operations here and across the country.

Last week, our Stanton Springs Data Center team had the privilege of volunteering at JA of Georgia's JA BizTown Discovery Center in Atlanta, working alongside students from Social Circle Middle School. It was inspiring to see these young leaders run businesses, balance budgets, and navigate real-world challenges — all before lunch!
Meta is proud to support Junior Achievement of Georgia’s mission to prepare students for success through hands-on learning in business, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy. As one of our Data Center Community Action Grants recipients, Social Circle Middle School students were able to travel to Atlanta and participate in this immersive experience.
Our partnership with JA of Georgia helps bring life-skills and workforce development training to thousands of students each year, empowering them to make informed decisions about their futures. We’re honored to play a role in expanding access to these opportunities for our data center communities.
🌎🧊 April is Earth month — and we're proud to share a closer look at the water restoration work happening in Los Lunas.
Water is a shared and vital resource — and at Meta, our goal is to become water positive in 2030. That means restoring more water than we consume in our operations, while partnering with local communities to boost supply, enhance quality, and protect ecosystems.
In this video, our Water Program leads share what drives this work — and how projects near the Rio Grande are helping move toward that goal.

Learn more on this year’s projects:
Atha Road Elementary School: To establish a dedicated STEM makerspace where students use hands-on tools to develop 21st century skills in creativity, critical thinking and collaboration.
Camp Twin Lakes: To provide adaptive STEAM learning and scholarships for children with serious illnesses and disabilities, fostering resilience through inclusive science education.
Eastside High School, Newton County: To establish a student-managed, fully automated hydroponic farm that utilizes mobile-controlled technology to teach modern precision agriculture and sustainable food systems.
Flint Hill Elementary School, Newton County Schools: To transform traditional instruction through a virtual reality initiative that delivers immersive, curriculum-aligned global field trips directly into the classroom.
Jasper County Charter System: To prepare 7th-grade students for future financial independence through real-world applications of budgeting, savings and economic systems.
UGA Extension, Morgan County GA: To spark curiosity in science and engineering through a youth-led club that uses LEGO Education bundles to explore real-world problem-solving.
Morgan County Charter Schools: To fuel innovation across all grade levels by equipping every classroom with immersive VR kits, professional design tablets and advanced robotics tools.
Newton College & Career Academy: To enhance regional robotics performance by establishing a countywide VEX league and providing elite teams with access to national signature competitions.
Newton County Schools: To remove physical barriers to literacy by deploying digital scanning pens that provide instant audio support for students with reading difficulties.
Newton County Schools: To expand STEM access for students of all abilities by introducing classroom-safe robotic arms for interactive sorting, precision challenges, and inclusive design.
Social Circle City Schools: To bridge the gap between education and the local economy through hands-on simulations that develop essential financial literacy and workforce readiness skills.
Walker Park Elementary School: To deepen conceptual understanding of ecosystems and engineering by integrating multi-sensory VR simulations that support diverse learning styles.
Youth Middle School: To empower educators through professional tech development and to establish a media center 3D printing lab that transitions students from technology consumers to creative designers.

Forest heath stewardship and habitat restoration efforts are underway at the Stanton Springs Data Center!
In the coming weeks, residents and passersby may notice smoke intermittently from a carefully planned prescribed burn to the southwest of our site. This is one of the tools we are using to keep our forest in optimum health.
Prescribed burning is a common management tool used by timber companies, farmers, and habitat managers alike to promote ecosystem health – on our land, we expect it to reduce forest understory residue and crowding while recycling nutrients, building soil, controlling forest pests and diseases, reducing invasive species, and reducing risk of wildfire.
This work has been carefully planned by and will be performed and overseen by our licensed burn professional partners, the Georgia Forestry Commission and Native Habitat Project. The burn will proceed only if perfect climate conditions are observed. We are engaging closely with our critical partners, including Walton, Morgan, and Newton Counties and their Fire Departments.
For more information on why this work is so critical please read the following resources:
