Calling all readers, explorers, and fun-seekers! There's a special treat waiting for you: the Story Walk in Friendship Park! Enjoy a great story page by page as you walk along the path. It's the perfect way to get outside, move, and learn more about the Governor's Mansion.
Look for the sign with the QR code. Scan the QR Code to get the email address and email the picture directly to Mrs. Cottingham with your students name.
Every student who emails a picture will earn a special prize! Plus, we'll be giving a social media shoutout to all who participate.

We are incredibly proud to announce that Social Circle Elementary School has been officially recognized by the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement with a 2026 Greatest Gains Bronze Award! 🥉✨
Here is a quick breakdown of what this amazing honor means:
What it is: The state looks at schools across Georgia to celebrate high academic performance and major growth.
How we won: They evaluated our data over the last three school years (2022-23, 2023-24, and 2024-25). Our students showed massive, steady improvement and growth!
The Category: "Greatest Gains" means our students are making serious strides forward year after year.
This award is a direct result of the relentless dedication of our teachers and staff, and the sheer hard work of our amazing students. You all show up every day ready to learn, grow, and excel—and the state of Georgia noticed!
