📣 ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: DAWSON KIPLINGER! 📣

Congratulations to Dawson on being named our Athlete of the Week! Dawson not only works hard in athletics, but he also excels in the classroom. Last year as a 7th grader, Dawson earned the highest average in multiple of his core classes! His dedication, hard work, and commitment to excellence both on and off the field make him a great example of what it means to be a student-athlete. We are proud of you, Dawson! Keep up the great work!

Our middle school scientists got hands-on with homeostasis during a science lab! Students used yellow coloring to model how systems work to maintain balance and stability—even when conditions change. 🔬✨

And, of course, we had to add a little Simpson-inspired fun to the lab! Students were engaged, curious, and learning by doing as they explored how the body works to keep everything in balance. Science is always more fun when learning gets a little colorful!

Over the past week, our Georgia Studies students have been exploring Georgia’s five geographic regions and physical features. They discovered how Georgia’s geography impacts us today—from where we live and work to agriculture, transportation, communities, recreation, and tourism.

Students were able to choose their own way to showcase what they learned through a shoebox diorama with a fact sheet, a poster, or a slideshow. Their finished projects are full of creativity, interesting facts, and Georgia pride!

We’re excited to share their hard work and celebrate all they discovered about our great state! 🍑
