Adults age 60 and older are invited to join Golden Tigers, a new monthly Snyder ISD program designed to connect community members with the students, people, and work of our schools.

Each month, you will gain insight into the work happening in our schools, current priorities, and the ways those efforts support students. Members will also hear student and campus stories, ask questions, and learn about volunteer opportunities that match a variety of interests, schedules, and abilities.

Meetings will begin at 10 a.m. at the DCOS Building, 2514 Avenue R, Snyder, TX 79549.

To the families that are writing your Scurry County family stories for our celebration on Aug. 21st, we need your stories to be dropped off at the Scurry County Museum by Thursday August 20th at 1 pm. This will give our Scurry County Historical Commission time to prepare them to be displayed. Thank you for writing your stories for our celebration!

✨ What is Museum on Main Street?

This fall, something special is coming to Snyder.

Museum on Main Street is a traveling exhibition program from the Smithsonian Institution that brings world-class exhibits to small-town America while celebrating the unique stories of the communities that host them.

From October 3 through November 15, Snyder will welcome SPARK! Places of Innovation, a six-week exhibition exploring the people, ideas, and innovations that have shaped our community and West Texas.

Throughout the exhibition, you'll discover:
