Important Notice for Thursday, August 13

Parents & Students,

Late this afternoon, we were informed of a boil water notice specifically affecting Ira. After consulting with the license holder for the Ira Water Corporation, we were strongly advised to close school tomorrow. We are taking that recommendation seriously and will cancel classes for students on Thursday, August 13.

Staff: Thursday will be a workday from home.

Students: Enjoy your unexpected day off! Coaches may still schedule practices, and any practice information will be communicated directly through ParentSquare. If practices are held, we will make sure students have access to safe hydration.

We expect to learn more tomorrow afternoon about how long the boil water notice will remain in effect. At that time, we will also communicate any impact on Friday’s schedule and our scheduled MAP testing.

It was so great to see both familiar and new faces around campus today! We’ll get back to work and welcome everyone back as soon as we know our water situation has been cleared.
