👂 Hearing Screenings at JETS! 👂

A few weeks ago, JETS staff performed hearing screenings on our children as part of our ongoing commitment to supporting their health, development, and school readiness. 💙

Under the Head Start Program Performance Standards (HSPPS), 45 CFR §1302.42(b)(2), programs are required to obtain or perform evidence-based hearing and vision screenings within 45 calendar days of a child entering the program. These screenings help identify possible hearing concerns early so that appropriate follow-up can be provided when needed.

We are proud to support our children by making their health and well-being a priority and helping ensure they have the tools they need to learn, grow, and thrive! 🌟

📸 Enjoy a few pictures from our hearing screening day!

💙💛 Celebrating Hispanic Heritage at JETS! 💛💙

A few of our JETS classrooms celebrated September 16th with fun crafts, festive outfits, and lots of learning! 🇲🇽🎨✨

September 16th is Mexican Independence Day, commemorating Mexico’s independence from Spanish rule, which began in 1810. It’s a day filled with pride, family, culture, music, food, and traditions. ❤️💚🤍

Our little learners enjoyed celebrating through age-appropriate activities that gave them an opportunity to learn about and appreciate Mexican culture while having fun together! 🌎🧡

We love creating opportunities for our children to learn about different cultures, celebrate our families, and recognize what makes each of us special. 🫶
