What an incredible start to the school year! Today was Wildcat Day for our incoming 9th graders, and the energy at Mount Si was absolute magic. ✨️

Our incoming freshmen got the ultimate red-carpet welcome courtesy of the Mount Si Marching Band, Cheer and Dance teams, Cats+ student leaders, and our enthusiastic staff members. Students jumped into fun welcome activities, toured the campus to get their bearings, caught up with old friends, and started making new ones.

🐾Cat+ student leaders, Marching Band, Cheer, and Dance teams for bringing the spirit
🐾And everyone who helped to make it all run smoothly behind the scenes
It truly takes a village to pull off an event like this, and everyone involved made it an unforgettable day for our new Wildcats.

Get those backpacks ready—we can’t wait to see everyone back tomorrow for the official first day of school! ✨

📅 Mark Your Calendar: Wildcat Day is Tuesday, August 25! 🐾

We're excited to welcome our Wildcats to Mount Si High School with special activities for both incoming freshmen and students in grades 10-12 who are new to MSHS/SVSD.

🎉 Incoming Freshmen (7:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.)

Students will enjoy: ✅ Welcome festivities
✅ Building tours
✅ Lunch with classmates
✅ Closing ceremonies

Important Reminders: 🚗 Drop-off is from 7:30-7:50 a.m. (district transportation is not provided). Please allow extra travel time due to heavy traffic and the detour between SE North Bend Way and Meadowbrook Way.

🍕 Lunch Information: Pre-purchased lunches will be distributed via tickets at the event. Free/reduced lunch students are automatically included. Lunch purchases must be made in advance and will close Monday, August 24, at 5 p.m. Students who do not purchase lunch should bring one from home. 🎁 The MSHS PTSA will be there with a special gift for students at the end of the day!

💻 New-to-SVSD 9th Graders: Following the closing assembly, students will attend a brief orientation to receive important information and their school-issued device. Dismissal will be approximately 1:30 p.m.

🏫 New to SVSD? Grades 10-12

Students new to MSHS/SVSD in grades 10-12 are invited to attend New Student Orientation from 1:00-2:00 p.m. in the South Commons.

🔍 Building Open House

From 1:00-3:00 p.m., all students are welcome to walk through the building and locate their classrooms before the first day of school.

Get ready to smile! Mount Si High School Picture Days are happening August 27 & 28, and students will rotate through photos with their classes during the school days.

🏫 Photo packets will be sent home on the first day of school.

💡 Picture Day Reminders
• Solid colors and simple patterns photograph beautifully
• Avoid clothing with large logos or text

📖 Photos will be used for the yearbook, student IDs, and ASB cards, so every student should plan to have their picture taken.
