Machias Elementary PTG

🍕🎉 While our 5th graders didn't have a field trip this year, we still wanted to help make the end of their school year a little extra special!

Using funds that had been set aside for a 5th grade field trip, the PTG was happy to help provide a pizza party for our 5th graders. It was a fun way for students to celebrate a successful year, spend time with friends, and enjoy some well-deserved fun together.

We're so grateful to our Machias community for supporting PTG fundraisers throughout the year. Your generosity helps us create opportunities and experiences for students across all grade levels.

🍦🐾 Our Sweetest Walkathon Yet! 🐾🍦

WOW, Bobcats! Thanks to the incredible support of our students, families, sponsors, volunteers, and community, this year's Walkathon raised an amazing **$43,037!** 🎉

We're especially proud that **45% of our students participated** in this year's fundraiser. Every donation collected, sponsor secured, lap walked, and volunteer hour given helped make this success possible.

Because of your generosity, these funds will support field trips, STEAM opportunities, staff appreciation, community-building events, and so much more for our students throughout the coming year.

This year, PTG funds helped bring the Reptile Lady to our students, giving them the opportunity to get up close with some amazing animals while learning about reptiles from around the world. Experiences like these spark curiosity, create lasting memories, and bring classroom learning to life in a way students never forget.

As we look back on the incredible opportunities our students enjoyed this year, we're reminded that they are only possible because of the support of our Machias families, friends, community partners, and volunteers.

The good luck coloring sheets and messages created by Machias students for the Everett Silvertips were displayed in the conference room at the Memorial Cup! 🎉

After the incredible support the Silvertips have shown our school through their partnership and fundraiser with the Machias PTG, it was so much fun to have the opportunity to cheer them on during such a momentous occasion. Seeing our students' artwork and messages displayed for the team made it even more special!

Thank you to the Silvertips for supporting our school community and for letting our Bobcats be a small part of your Memorial Cup journey. We loved having the chance to return the encouragement and celebrate alongside you. 🐾💙🏒

As of Saturday, our Walkathon total has reached an incredible $36,915! 🎉

We still have one class that hasn't been turned in yet, along with a few additional envelopes we're waiting to receive, so we're excited to see our total grow even more in the coming days!

As of this morning, we've raised an amazing $16,378 toward our Walkathon goal! 🎉 Thank you to everyone who has already donated, collected sponsors, and supported our students.

Our PTG team will be getting together tonight to count all of the cash and check donations turned in today, so stay tuned for another fundraising update soon! 👀🍦
