Congratulations to Our Teacher of the Year, Mr. Dunsire! π
We are proud to recognize Mr. Dunsire as our Teacher of the Year!
Mr. Dunsire is the kind of educator who is always willing to lend a helping hand, solve problems, and support everyone around him. Most importantly, he has made an incredible impact on our 5thβ8th grade students, helping them grow academically, personally, and spiritually.
His creativity and passion bring learning to life through engaging projects and meaningful experiences that students genuinely love. He has a unique gift for inspiring confidence, encouraging students to challenge themselves, and helping them discover their potential.
When our community was asked about Mr. Dunsire, the response was overwhelming. Parents shared how much more confident their children have become because of his guidance, how excited they are to come to school each day, and how he has been one of their greatest mentors in faith. Through his leadership, encouragement, and sometimes the tough love students need, he helps prepare them for success in high school and beyond.
Thank you, Mr. Dunsire, for your dedication, your faith-filled leadership, and the lasting difference you make in the lives of our students every day. We are blessed to have you as part of our St. Michael Catholic School family! ππ

What a day at St. Michael! ππ¦
Today marked the beginning of what we hope will become a beloved new tradition...our Pep Rally before Field Day featuring the ultimate showdown: 8th Graders vs. Teachers! The entire school came together, cheering, laughing, and showing incredible school spirit. We were especially proud of our 8th graders for their outstanding sportsmanship, encouraging one another and giving their all from start to finish.
The game was a true nail-biter, ending with a final score of 28-26 in favor of the teachers! While the teachers may have taken home the victory, we couldn't be prouder of our 8th graders and the tradition they have started for years to come.
A huge shoutout to Principal Blair, who was in the building making a tremendous impact all day long! Alongside Ms. Melander, she served as an amazing MC, helped in countless ways behind the scenes, and enthusiastically presented Eagles to our outstanding students. She absolutely rocked it!
One of the sweetest moments of the day came when our 8th graders surprised our 2nd graders, winners of the Most Spirited Class Award, with silly string! The smiles, laughter, and excitement said it all. π
Thank you to Mrs. Akins for getting everyone pumped up and ready for Field Day, and to Ms. Melander and Principal Blair for keeping the energy high as fantastic MCs throughout the event.
We also want to celebrate Mr. Dunsire, our Teacher of the Year! π He goes above and beyond every day to prepare his students for greatness, sets high expectations, and cares deeply for each child he teaches. To top it off, he received a well-deserved silly string surprise from the 8th graders!
And be sure to check out our very own 8th grader, Charlie, living her best life and showing off her worm skills! πͺ±π
Today was filled with spirit, laughter, teamwork, and Eagle pride. What a wonderful way to kick off Field Day!
