Hancock County Schools — Remote Learning Announcement

Hancock County Schools will transition to Remote Learning on Friday, August 28, and Monday, August 31, due to an increase in illness among students, teachers, and staff.

This temporary transition will provide an opportunity to thoroughly disinfect our school buildings and, hopefully, help slow the spread of illness throughout our school community.

Middle and high school students should check their Google Classroom for assignments and instructions from their teachers.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work to protect the health and well-being of our students, faculty, and staff.

ATTENTION MIDDLE SCHOOL PARENTS:

The middle school is continuing to support parental communication between students, parents, teachers and staff with a platform named DOJO. If you did not receive a message please call the office and let us know. That could mean we have an incorrect phone number on file for you. Strengthening our communication is a priority and we are looking for ways to improve it. There are several parents who have not accepted the invitation as of today.

Hancock Middle School has started a Cross Country team this year. Running as an individual we have Maylyn Seal representing HCMHS. She finished the meet with a time of 8:08.39 finishing in 66th place. If anyone would like to join the Cross Country team please contact the school. Congratulations Maylyn.

ATTENTION MIDDLE SCHOOL PARENTS:

Student names are loaded into the system by their grade level and invites for parents to join have been linked to the phone number that is on file at the school in ASPEN.
