Our learners love being outside, and these hoops give them another way to move, play, practice teamwork, and enjoy time together. 🌳💚

✍🏽 Every morning in Secondary I starts with writing.

Before we jump into the day, our learners take a few minutes to respond to a journal prompt. Sometimes it’s reflective, sometimes creative, and sometimes it challenges them to think a little deeper.

Why every day? Because writing is a skill that grows with practice.

These few minutes each morning help our learners build writing stamina, organize their thoughts, strengthen sentence structure and vocabulary, and become more confident putting their ideas on paper.

We aren’t looking for perfect writing every morning—we’re building stronger, more confident writers one day at a time. 🌱

🍞 **Chemistry in the Kitchen: Bread Making!**

Our Arbor learners mixed, kneaded, and watched their dough rise while exploring the chemistry behind every step. Yeast feeds on sugars in the dough and releases carbon dioxide gas. The dough’s gluten network traps that gas, creating the air pockets that make bread soft and fluffy. In the oven, heat helps the loaf rise and turns the crust golden brown.

We loved celebrating our Ancient Greek and Roman Day 🤍

Students came dressed as the historical figure they had been studying and shared presentations with the class about their chosen hero from the past. Along with their presentations, students also created boards or slideshows to showcase what they learned.

Days like these give students the opportunity to engage deeply with history while building confidence in speaking, creativity, and research.
