Dolph Ludgren is co-world champion with Master Oyama, founder of the Kyokushinkay style, no-hands bull slayer and one of the most recognized karate masters in the world!

It was with this style that Dolph became vice world champion in 1979 at one of the first international Full Contact championships. With only a green belt, Dolph had to borrow a brown belt to compete. Dolph defeated his first two opponents, pitting him against overwhelming world title favorite Makoto Nakamura. Dolphin, with a green belt, weighed in at 93kg against second class black Nakamura's 110kg. The fight went to the end and two extra rounds, and Nakamura was declared the controversial winner. This was the toughest fight of the eventual world champion.

The Kyokushinkay style has been known as the strongest karate in the world. Master Oyama has toured the world demonstrating his skills in various challenges and earned this great reputation. Born in Korea, he trained in Chinese boxing, judo, jujutsu and karate before creating his own style. He became famous for his breaking technique where he already broke 30 tiles with one hit. He also came to kill 3 bulls with blows to the head and encountered 52 of these animals on the way.
