With last week being fall break, some of our teens willingly gave up their time to go serve a family by clearing out and organizing their shed. They worked hard, and made it fun. We are so proud of them for being a reflection of the greatest servant of all, Jesus Christ.

We had the honor of visiting Grace Lutheran Ministries today to talk with their 8th graders about Community Servants. Each year they come to serve the Wherry Housing Community on a mission trip and serve our community well! Thank you for hosting us and allowing us to share! The first week back of our after school program was great! We talked about who created us and why. We talked about how we can glorify God and why we should. We made dough and learned the difference between leaven and unleavened bread to better understand the leaven of the Pharisees Jesus warned his disciples about. We learned about David graciously sparing Saul’s life out of respect for his authority God gave him, and out of patience in God’s justice and timing to give him the throne. We played, we sang, we prayed, we ate pop-sickles, and just had a wonderful time with these little ones!

Opportunity to bless missionaries!!!!

We have a problem, but it's a good one. We currently have 2 missionary homes available for missionaries coming home to rest, to fundraise, or to return to living back in the U.S.

The problem: They are in high demand and we have to turn away missionaries because they are booked already. The secret is out: Community Servants LOVES missionaries.

The solution: Build another missionary house. We are currently in the process of doing just that, but we need your help. Listed below are several items we will need in order to fill the home. Please consider donating your time to help renovate the home or help purchase items needed for the home.

We hope to have it ready by November

Cabinets (Upper and Lower): $3000
Countertops: $350
Whirlpool Dryer (Lowes): $499
Dressers (2) (Lowes): $175.99 x 2
Pot's and Pans (WalMart): $79
Dishes (WalMart): $29.96 x 2
