In 2014, the City of Smyrna completed a range of community assessments to determine what the citizens of Smyrna want to see happen in their community. Out of those assessments came a Strategic Vision Plan with 52 concrete initiatives to be accomplished over the next 10 years. There are five main areas of focus:
