Live in 8 minutes 📣📣📢📢

✨ Joy (Director of Whosoever Will) and Robbie (President of FIER Atlanta) share their thoughts on Whoopi Goldberg’s recent two-week suspension from The View after making a comment on how the Holocaust was “not about race” but about “man’s inhumanity to man.”

✨ They expand on the importance of breaking our echo chambers to help open our minds and extend empathy towards those of different racial experiences.

🗣 “Hey, FIER! What’s an Echo Chamber?”

✏️ “An echo chamber is an environment where a person only encounters information or opinions that reflect and reinforce their own. It is an environment where one’s beliefs are echoed back to them through who they interact with and the content they consume.” (Source: “The Dangers of Echo Chambers” by ViewFinderGV)

✏️ Regardless of the topic of discussion (i.e. politics, social issues, entertainment, etc.), echo chambers can show up in several aspects of our lives and we encourage you all to step out of your comfort zones and explore the thoughts and opinions of those around you!

🧐 When was the last time you broke out of your echo chamber? How did you feel? What stopped you from breaking out sooner?
