Congratulations Jude!!

🥋 INTRODUCING THE 2027 ISSHINRYU HALL OF FAME YOUTH AMBASSADOR TEAM!

It is our privilege to officially recognize the ten outstanding young martial artists selected to represent the Isshinryu community throughout the 2027 season:

Daetyn Lett
Anirv Vallabhaneni
Shelby Milliken
Zackary Espinola
Jude Coleman
Gabriella Chase
Jackson Colonno
Salish Gupta
Jacob Little
Elijah Scarborough

Being selected as a Youth Ambassador is a tremendous honor—and an important responsibility. Throughout the season, these ambassadors will help share the traditions, values and future of Isshinryu through their leadership, participation and example.

We are incredibly proud to welcome each of them to the team and cannot wait to see the energy they bring to the 2027 Isshinryu Hall of Fame!

A special thank-you to Parkview RV Center for proudly sponsoring this program and helping us create opportunities for the next generation.

Please join us in congratulating the 2027 Youth Ambassador Team! 👏

I wish I understood this earlier.

For a long time, I thought being a good coach, parent or leader meant helping people avoid struggle.

Now I’m not so sure.

Sometimes the struggle is exactly what builds the confidence, resilience and character we’re trying to develop.

There’s a difference between letting someone struggle alone and allowing them to struggle while knowing you’re right there beside them.

So I’m curious.

Are we becoming too quick to make things easier for people, especially kids?

I’d genuinely like to hear your thoughts.

🚨 KARATE DOES NOT WORK IN THE STREET!

There. I said it.

I realize I may have just upset approximately 87% of my friends. 😂

But before you write a 14-paragraph response explaining why I’m wrong…

WATCH THE VIDEO. 😂🥋

Then let’s hear it:

🍂 NEW GEAR DROP — JUST IN TIME FOR FALL 🍂

We wanted something that felt a little different from the typical academy gear.

Something rooted in Bushido, but designed like something you’d actually want to wear when you’re not on the mat.

Introducing the new Delaware Bushido Academy Heritage Collection.

Vintage-inspired. A little weathered. Built around the identity we’ve carried since 2015.

武士道 — Bushido — The Way of the Warrior.

The new gear is available now.

Who’s grabbing a hoodie for fall? 🍂🥋
