Welcome to Smyrna Elementary and Down East Middle!

Congratulations to Ms. Reba Lewis, current Assistant Principal at Broad Creek Middle School, who has been named Principal of Down East Middle and Smyrna Elementary Schools. Ms. Lewis will replace current principal, Ms. Rolanda Golden, who is retiring.

Well that’s a wrap on a record breaking book fair!
We have generous community members who made sure funds were available for students. We also have generous students who bought gifts for others - even having them wrapped. Some were even overheard hoping they would get to do some of the science activities or baking from cookbooks TOGETHER with the recipient of the gift. We hope you enjoy your surprises!
