🧩 Puzzles in Montessori Learning
Puzzles have been a timeless learning tool that grows with our children. For our toddlers, we use puzzles with large, easy-to-grasp pieces that support their developing skills.
Montessori Puzzle Tips:
1. Start Simple
• Begin with single-piece knobbed puzzles
• Progress to 2-3 large pieces
• Gradually increase complexity
2. Support Independence
• Allow time for exploration
• Let your child work at their own pace
• Resist the urge to solve it for them
3. Make Connections
• Talk about the shapes
• Discuss how pieces fit together
• Celebrate their achievements
In Montessori, the process is more important than the end result. Watch as your child discovers the joy of completing a puzzle all by themselves!

Did you know you can help your child explore geometry and spatial awareness right at home? The Montessori approach emphasizes learning through touch and sensory experiences, and today we would like to share two simple activities you can do with your little one:
1. Let your child make dots going up and down with their finger to learn about vertical lines.
2. Inspired by the Great Wall, practice drawing bricks to find line midpoints and make straight edges.
You don't need any special materials - look around your home for inspiration! Your child can:
• Line up blocks in patterns
• Trace tile shapes on the floor
• Follow furniture edges with their finger
We'd love to see what geometry patterns you discover together at home - please share your experiences with us!
