This isn’t our typical aviation post, but today we’d like to use this platform for something close to our hearts.

We're raising funds for a former instructor and dear friend, Chris Sauder, and his family. Chris played a foundational role in our early days—one of the first to believe in us and someone who remained a pillar in our journey.

His family is currently fundraising to send his children to Joni and Friends—a life-changing experience where families impacted by disabilities find hope, encouragement, and Christ-centered community.

🎯 Our goal is to raise $3,300, and we’d love to help them reach it!
To help make this possible, we’ll be matching up to $1,000 in donations—$500 from Smoketown Helicopters and $500 from Smoketown Flight Center LLC.

We love visitors — especially when they bring history with them!

Today we had the joy of welcoming Paul and Debbie, who stopped in to recreate a favorite photo in front of a Cessna 150. Paul was a pilot years ago, and this was a fun way for them to revisit a special memory.

They’re celebrating 55 years of marriage today — what an honor to be part of it!
