Don’t forget it’s our last morning of the back to school coffee bar at KCELC! We have so enjoyed being able to send our parents off with a pick me up these last few days. Their joyous laughter and the chatter in the hallways mixed with the excitement from all of the children has been a blessing!

What a wonderful start to the 2026/2027 school year!

We enjoyed seeing some of our before school children this morning and sending them off for their first day! They were full of smiles and excitement to kick off the new school year.

We pray their day was full of learning and adventure. May this be the best year yet! 🍎✏️

Today we’re celebrating someone who wears more hats than most people ever see.

Director.
Leader.
Teacher.
Problem-solver.
Encourager.
Listener.
Cheerleader.
Planner.
Comforter.
Friend.

While many people only see the paperwork, phone calls, meetings, and countless other behind-the-scenes responsibilities, we’re lucky enough to see something even greater.

We see the way she remembers the little details about our families. The way she celebrates our victories, prays through our hardships, and genuinely invests in the lives of the children, parents, and staff who walk through our doors each day.

She leads with grace, serves with humility, and loves with her whole heart. Kids Connection is more than a daycare because of the care, compassion, and dedication she pours into it every single day. She does all of this while still being a wonderful wife and mother to her own children. She’s also not one that wants the spotlight and we may be in trouble for posting her big day, but we want to take this special day to honor her for all she does!

Our summer shutdown may have meant a quieter building, but it definitely wasn’t a quiet week for KC!

While our classrooms took a short break from busy little feet, a whole team of folks were hard at work making improvements throughout the center. This time of closure not only helped our teachers rejuvenate, but allowed us to complete projects that simply aren’t possible while children are here each day.

Over the past week we’ve been:
🛠️ Installing new bathroom flooring
📞 Upgrading our phone systems
🔑 Working on our key fob access system
✨ Deep cleaning and waxing floors

🐛Butterfly Release🦋

We spent about a week admiring our butterflies and watching them spread their wings. Last Friday was bittersweet as we celebrated their growth and released them onto our grass playground area.

It was so special to watch the children giggle and follow after them as they flew away. Several of them landed on friends and the smiles were unforgettable!!

What a treat this experience was and one we will carry with us for a long time! 🧡🖤

🦋🇺🇸 A little Fourth of July surprise! 🇺🇸🦋

While many of us are celebrating Independence Day, we have something extra special to celebrate at KCELC…

Our first butterflies have officially emerged! ✨

Over the past several weeks, our children have watched this incredible life cycle unfold.. from tiny caterpillars to now to beautiful butterflies. What an amazing reminder that some of the greatest transformations happen with a little time and patience.

We can’t wait for our students to see this exciting milestone when they return! Until then, we’ll continue caring for our newest little friends as they stretch their wings.

🌟 Congratulations to our July Employee of the Month, Mrs. Tanya! 🌟

We are so grateful for the friendly presence she brings to Kids Connection. Her coworkers chose her based on her dependability, punctuality and approachable nature just to name a few of her incredible qualities.

She brings a smile and can do attitude into every task and her hard work here shows from the smallest to biggest of ways. She truly helps Kids Connection run smoothly everyday! We are thankful for the kind and nurturing attitude she brings to our classrooms and just in passing through the foyers or hallways.

🐛 A little transformation is underway at KCELC 🦋

Last week during our creepy crawly friends week, we learned about butterfly life cycles and watched caterpillars forming into chrysalis. The countdown begins NOW! Over the next several days, we will have the incredible opportunity to observe one of God's most beautiful creations as we patiently wait for butterflies to emerge!

🦋 We have moved our butterfly house into the foyer by the office for everyone to enjoy and observe this amazing transformation alongside us. Please note that this is one of the most delicate stages of their life cycle so we kindly ask that the habitat not be touched, moved, or opened. 🦋
