Today, we officially introduced our new Marketing and Communications interns, senior Mia Haddock and sophomore Kohen Waters, to one of the best parts of the job - getting out into our schools and seeing our Warriors in action!

Since it’s game day, Mia and Kohen were dressed in their cheer and football uniforms when we stopped by Eagle Heights Elementary. During indoor recess, the students spotted them and immediately went a little crazy!

Before we knew it, there was a line of students waiting to get their autographs! ⭐️ I think it’s safe to say Mia and Kohen got a pretty memorable welcome to their new internship!

I'm excited to have these two students assisting with Marketing and Communications this year and can’t wait to see all the ways they help us tell the stories of the Smithville School District!

It was HOT, but what a wonderful night to celebrate Warrior softball! 🥎🔥

Thank you to everyone who came out last night to support our student-athletes and help us celebrate the First Pitch Ceremony at the Warriors Softball Field. One of the most meaningful parts of the evening was celebrating the past, present and future of Smithville softball through our ceremonial first pitches—a special reminder of the tradition that brought us here, the team carrying it forward today and the generations still to come.

We are incredibly grateful to our community for its support in passing the April 2025 bond initiative, which made this beautiful new facility possible. What an incredible investment in our students, our programs, and the future of Smithville School District!

And to top it all off—the girls brought home a WIN! 👏

📣 Schedule Update: Softball First Pitch Ceremony 🥎

Due to the heat, we are pushing everything back by one hour—but we’re keeping all the same fun!

Join us as we celebrate and break in our brand-new softball field!

🕠 First Pitch Ceremony: 5:45 p.m.
🥎 Game: 6:00 p.m.

We’ll still have free hot dogs, chips, cupcakes, water, and face painting for the whole family!

This morning, our elementary students started their day with a big dose of Warrior spirit! The Smithville High School football team and cheerleaders were there to cheer them on with high-fives, smiles, and plenty of hype.

The Warrior excitement continues tonight! Join us at our Community Tailgate from 5:30–7:00 p.m. before the first home football game of the season. No ticket is needed to attend the tailgate—everyone is welcome!
