Such a GREAT article on ADHD. As a parent with a child with ADHD, so much of this is what we deal with on a daily basis. What you see looking at a child who struggles with ADHD is only the tip of the iceberg. So much more is happening underneath. This article hits close to home as a parent with ADHD and hit hard as a teacher who works with students who experience ADHD and ADD in the classroom. We as educators and parents must understand that these students should not be expected to meet all the mainstream expectations that are in the current educational system. For these students, their academic success should be defined differently.
