Class of 2025 graduates! We tried to get a senior walk through Branch Brook like we had last year but it didnt work out logistically with New Beginnings in order to be able to get the teachers there too! So we were offered an amazing alternative…

Ugh what can I say!? We pulled it off! Many thanks to everyone who showed up, shared my post, emailed teachers and got their kids there. It was memorable and emotional and nothing made me happier than seeing those kids on that playground! BBE forever! 💙

ATTN: CLASS OF 2024 GRADUATES! GRAD WALK UPDATE! PLEASE READ AND RESPOND!

Tomorrow at 12:30pm I have confirmed the Branch Brook Class of 2017 will be walking through New Beginnings pre-school. Please arrive at 12:15 in the parking lot with cap and gown on. We will be taking a group photo on the playground afterwards.

Please note, unfortunately parents are not allowed inside the building but they are allowed on the parking lot and on the playground. I got special permission to go in and video so I will be sharing that with you all. So let’s all be outside to cheer them on and take pics as they go in and come out.

Please confirm below if you are coming and if you know someone who is not on Facebook who is definitely coming. I don’t want to set all this up and no one shows. I have only heard word of mouth who is coming but I’d like to confirm numbers. There will be a SURPRISE appearance!!! Please don’t share that with the kids though 🤫

GRAD WALK UPDATE!

New Beginnings said we can come on Tuesday 6/25 at 12:30pm to do the Branch Brook senior grad walk. I wanted to do it later but the kids are napping from 1-3pm and it would be cute to have them applauding for the seniors and have music playing. We would have to be quiet if we came later. I know there is a Physics regents and Great Hollow has a moving up that day. Does this cause a conflict for a lot of you??

They did offer morning of Graduation but I didn’t know if that would be too busy of a day.
Also is there any way possible any former teachers can show up to this? I believe it’s a half day for elementary but wasn’t sure if you still have to be at work. If any of our amazing teachers on here can weigh in that would be great!

Attention Branch Brook alumni!!!!

I was able to get in touch with New Beginnings, the former Branch Brook Elementary about doing our own grad walk since our elementary school closed. THE OWNER SAID YES! They would LOVE to do this for us! They will have their preschool students to line up for us. While the teachers may not be there it’s better than nothing and we can actually walk in our school. You are also still able to do the other school grad walks to see the teachers as well. And we can then re-enact our playground photo on the same day.

THE POTENTIAL DATE IS JUNE 25th. The day before graduation. I know East kids weren’t getting their caps and gowns yet so this probably works best for them as well.

Does this work for everyone? Let’s make this happen! I don’t have a time yet but I will keep you posted. Please comment with any issues, ideas or just plain excitement!

Hey all! I called New Beginnings (the old Branch Brook) today to see if they will let our grads actually walk into the school and then we can take the pic! They will get back to me later today or tomorrow. Fingers crossed they allow us to! Because that would be super special! I know we won’t have the teachers but maybe we can make something happen. If it’s after school ends maybe we can have some of them come??

Smithtown High School West had their annual Senior Field Day today. This is the last graduating class of Branch Brook 😭 They didn’t win (but Mt. Pleasant did!) but one last great BBE memory was made for these seniors!

It’s about that time! Our last graduating class of Branch Brook elementary will be taking the stage this June! 😭 there were 58 kids in this pic. The majority are at HS West and 11 at HS East, 5 have left or went to private high school. Would love, love love for this group to come back sometime shortly before or after graduation and recreate this picture. Can we make this happen??? I am Facebook/personal friends with a majority of these parents. I can also put this on Smithtown moms or try to reach out directly to parents on Facebook. I’m assuming we would need permission to be on the property but probably not after hours. But I can call and ask. I’m thinking if we do it on a weekend when they are still in school it would be a better chance of people not being on vacations. But would love for them to be in their caps and gowns OR light blue t shirts? Thoughts? I will be posting a list of students where I’m missing parent contact info. I would like to send out one big group text or Facebook message or email to try and set up date choices. Let me know how you can help make this happen!
