Hello! Moving along with our sports week theme; yesterday was bowling day in Ladybugs! 🎳 Yesterday morning we bowled with our caterpillar bowling ball set and colored bowling coloring pages! We went out for a quick walk before the rain started. For our craft/activity we covered a play bowling ball in paint and rolled it down the alley! The kids had a blast with this activity and loved getting messy🎳

🦕🧪 Thursday STEAM fun in the Otters classroom! Today our little scientists explored a Fizzy Dino Egg Experiment as they rescued mini dinosaurs trapped inside frozen baking soda eggs. Using droppers filled with vinegar, the children watched with excitement as the eggs began to FIZZ and bubble during the chemical reaction! ✨🌋

This hands-on dinosaur activity encouraged curiosity, sensory exploration, fine motor development, and early science concepts like cause and effect—all while learning through play! The Otters had SO much fun discovering which dinosaurs were hidden inside their eggs! 🦖💚

🌻🌼🌸Frogs collected some dandelions to create a Lion’s mane 🦁! They had such a fun time running around and collecting the flowers. What a fun gross motor activity combined with a nature based sensory experience!

🧺🍉 Picnic Party Day! 🍉🧺

The Otters took our Picnic & Fruit theme outdoors today for a special picnic party on the deck! With our picnic blanket spread out and basket packed full of goodies, the children had so much fun exploring different picnic foods and enjoying a cozy class picnic together. ☁️🧃

Even though it was a little cloudy outside, that didn’t stop the fun! Activities like this encourage social interaction, imaginative play, language development, and a sense of classroom community.

Hello! Today, for our “Under the Sea” theme, we enjoyed free art this morning with crayons, ink pads, and sea animal stamps! We decorated a sea turtle shell that we’re going to attach to our turtle. 🐢
We also got a surprise visit from Mrs. Dawn and her little baby chicks! (See separate post for pics)The Ladybugs were so excited to see, hold, and pet the baby chicks! They were so brave and did so well!
For our craft, we made our own tie-dye fish by putting different-colored tissue paper onto a cutout of a fish. We sprayed it with water and watched the tie-dye process start! We had such a great and busy day in the Ladybugs today!🐠🌊🐳

🧺☀️ “We’re going on a picnic and we’re bringing…” 🍉🥪🍪

The Otters kicked off our Picnic & Fruit theme with a sweet collaborative art project! Each child decorated their own picnic item, and together we created one giant classroom picnic collage filled with all sorts of yummy treats. ❤️

Activities like this help build creativity, fine motor skills, and teamwork while giving our little learners a chance to express themselves and contribute to a shared classroom masterpiece. We can already tell this theme is going to be berry fun! 🍓✨
