The first Officer Spotlight for April is Carolina Houston! Carolina is a junior at Smithton High School and is one of our Vice Presidents of Community Service!
Her favorite FBLA Memory is doing the Broadcast Journalism presentation with Drew Bray.
She has been in FBLA for 3 years.
The events she has done: both tests and presentations! I have been to districts for all 3 years and, sadly, missed the Fall Leadership Conference this year.
The advice she has for new members: Don't be afraid to try new things!! FBLA can seem scary, but it is so much fun! I was also really nervous to do things like present and test, but it has helped me get out of my comfort zone and become more confident.

FBLA members attended the Missouri FBLA State Leadership Conference in Springfield this past week. The students participated in competitive events, attended leadership workshops, explored opportunities at the college and career fair, and volunteered in community service projects. In addition, the following accomplishments were achieved and recognized...
The Smithton FBLA chapter was recognized as a Gold Chapter of the Year.
Jayden Douglas and Hadley Green …received the Community Service Award (Service Level) in recognition of more than 200 hours of community service.
Aubree Huddleston earned the Outstanding Service to Local Chapter Award.
Aubree Huddleston, Cameron Schaller, and Dakota Wells placed 13th in the Local Chapter Annual Business Report
Zane Kenyon placed 18th in Real Estate
Kegan Randall placed 23rd in Organizational Leadership

The second Officer Spotlight of March is Jayden Douglas! Jayden is our Vice President of Communications!
His favorite FBLA Memory: Playing UNO Liars at MO Fall Leadership Conference!
He has been in FBLA for three years.
The events he has done: Tests for districts and state, FLC 2025, and SLC 2024.
The advice he has for new members: Try new things! You will never know if you like or don't like something unless you try it. I came into FBLA fresh into high school, not knowing a single thing, and it's one of the best things I've ever done! It is truly fun and rewarding, and you will meet people from all over!
