The LCHS Student Council treated our faculty and staff with pizza from Cabin Pizza a couple weeks ago in honor of Teacher Appreciation Week but we forgot to send a shout out to CABIN PIZZA in Grand Rivers. Your pizza is always a hit with our faculty and staff and we greatly appreciate you going in early to prepare our pizzas and delivering them this year.

Congratulations to the 2025–2026 LCHS Senior Class Officers! We are so proud of all you have accomplished at LCHS and can’t wait to see where this next chapter takes you.

Talon Sanchez (Senior Class President):
Talon plans to attend Cedarville University in the fall, where he will run track and major in business administration with a minor in biblical studies. He then plans to pursue a career in real estate.

Josh Turner (Senior Class Vice President):
Josh plans to attend the Honors College at Murray State University in the fall and pursue a degree in political science. He then plans to go to law school and become an attorney.

Maddie Reaves (Senior Class Reporter):
Maddie plans to attend Murray State University in the fall and major in nursing. She then plans to pursue a career as a nurse practitioner.

Mia Williams (Senior Class Secretary):
Mia plans to attend Murray State University in the fall and major in psychology. She then plans to pursue a career as a psychiatric technician.

As April comes to an end, we wanted to look back on our April competitions, which were unfortunately our last round of competitions for the year. Students enjoyed a round of Hungry, Hungry, Hippos (Easter Egg edition), Floor Slide, 4-Corners, and Ships and Sailors.

Congratulations to both our sophomores and juniors, who tied and earned 1,500 points for their grade. There will be a tie-breaking round of Rock, Paper, Scissors soon to determine who will earn the competition reward next month. We also want to congratulate Jase Paris for winning the school-wide Rock, Paper, Scissors Challenge.

The LCHS Student Council had an amazing time at the MCEC Daytime Prom! The events hosted by MCEC are always some of the biggest highlights of our year.
