Third graders at LaPerche are reading Deep Down and other Extreme Places to Live. Partners switched off reading parts of the story and then they discussed the vocabulary, main idea and supporting details. Working with a partner shows students that they can be a teacher and they can learn from each other. LaPerche students love working with friends.

💚💛 Together We Walk, Together We Shine! 🐾👟

What an AMAZING day at LaPerche’s Unified Walk-a-Thon! 🌟

Today, our students came together to walk, run, laugh, and cheer each other on as they made their way through different stations alongside their buddies! It was a day filled with teamwork, friendship, inclusion, and lots of school spirit! 💚💛

And of course, we had to add a little extra FUN! 💦😂 The class that raised the most money earned the exciting opportunity to dump water on some VERY courageous teachers! A huge shoutout to our amazing teachers for being such great sports and making this a moment our students won’t forget!

👏 Thank you to all of our students, staff, families, and supporters who helped make today such a success!

🐾 At LaPerche, every step matters, every student belongs, and we’re always stronger TOGETHER! 💚💛

🌲🤝 Teamwork Makes the Dream Work! 💚💛

Yesterday, our LaPerche 5th graders headed to Camp Yawgoog for an exciting field trip to participate in Project COPE!

Throughout the day, students took part in fun and challenging team-building activities that encouraged communication, cooperation, problem-solving, and trust. They learned the importance of working together, supporting one another, and stepping outside their comfort zones! 💪🌟

What a wonderful opportunity for our 5th graders to strengthen friendships, build confidence, and create lasting memories together as a class!

💚💛 Way to go, 5th graders!

In preschool at LaPerche, the class was playing Number Bingo. As Mrs. Carnevale called a number, students checked their board to see if they had the number. When someone got BINGO, the class cheered for them and the game continued on. Preschoolers are learning to identify their numbers 1 to 20, using their muscles to take apart their manipulatives and supporting each other as they search for the numbers on their cards. In the end, students stacked their cubes to make a tower of eight and then they counted to be sure they had eight. What a great learning opportunity.
