Exciting news for Johnston Community College!

JCC has been awarded $499,245 from the Golden LEAF Foundation to purchase specialized equipment and instructional technology for the launch of a new Associate in Applied Science degree in Respiratory Therapy.

This investment will help JCC prepare highly skilled respiratory care professionals, strengthen our region’s healthcare workforce, and expand career opportunities for students in Johnston County and beyond.

We are grateful to the Golden LEAF Foundation for supporting workforce development and helping us meet the evolving healthcare needs of our community.

We’re proud to partner with UNC Health Johnston to bring convenient community health services directly to JCC. Their Mobile Outreach Unit visits campus on the first Wednesday of each month, helping remove barriers to care by providing services and resources that support both physical and mental well-being.

The unit will be on campus tomorrow, Aug. 5, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Midterms, work, life — a doctor's visit can slip down the list fast. On Aug. 5, our Mobile Outreach Unit is parked on campus at Johnston Community College from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with free urgent care services, no insurance required. Stop by between classes.

Johnston Community College will be closed to the public on Monday August 10th as faculty and staff participate in Employee Convocation and Professional Development activities in preparation for the upcoming semester. During this time, college offices and student services will be unavailable.
