NEW UPDATE!!!

Hey guys! B.J. Johnson here. Just after graduating I served an LDS mission in Sydney Australia with another classmate, Dalton Stott. I then went to USU and graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering, got offered a job in Boise, and now am a fully licensed Civil Engineer working for the Idaho Transportation Department as a Staff Engineer. I miss the times in the marching band and concert band, so much so I joined a community band and dove headfirst into theater, I did 4 musicals in the past year and am actively rehearsing a straight play now, I’m actually auditioning for a musical, which is why I won’t be able to come to the reunion. I miss you all!

NEW UPDATE!!!
-Hey bobcats it’s Derek VanWeerd! I can’t believe all this time has flown! Right after graduation I served an LDS mission in Texas. Then upon my return home I tried the whole college thing but decided to not let college get in the way of my career in the glass installation business. I dropped out and have been doing people’s glass and windows for about 6 1/2 years and I absolutely love it! Two of my brothers and I have been racing trash cars the last 5 years. We recently decided to stop because life has gotten too busy. During that span I won a few races and made some cash! A couple of years ago I met my wife online and we’re expecting our first kid in July! I’m grateful for the friends and memories I made in high school.

NEW UPDATE!!!
-Hey Bobcats👋, Corry Jones here. What a whirlwind the last 10 odd years has been, huh? As for me post SVHS graduation I had a brief couple months at BYU before finding myself in Jackson Wyoming at a raft guide training, after that week I really never looked back. I’ve been very lucky to have created a patchwork career as a whitewater rafting guide, expedition planner, and swiftwater rescue instructor. My job(s) allow me to travel all over the world and create my own schedule. I truly love what I do.
-These experiences led to me being cast on a reality survival adventure racing TV show in 2023 in New Zealand where I met the love of my life Paulina Peña who was also competing on the show. We live together in Salt Lake which is a lovely home base for both of our travels and work. Our latest project and future is centered around building and managing an all inclusive guest ranch experience in Southern Chile on her family property.
-I remember my time at SVHS fondly and was always so touched by the way people treated me when I moved to Smithfield from California. I remember feeling so welcomed by everyone! I loved serving on BAGA and planning our homecoming week with great friends. I also loved my time on the track team and XC team and the great friendships I formed there. Wishing you all the best fellow bobcats 🙏

NEW UPDATE!!!
Hey all, it’s Clint Thompson!

I’ve been up to a bit since Highschool, I served a mission in Indiana, then went to SUU for five years getting a four year degree in Accounting (shoutout to everybody else who changed majors at least once 😂) and now I’m working as a Tax Accountant at a firm in Salt Lake. Definitely one of the more flashy and exciting jobs out there, but please don’t ask me to do your taxes for you, haha.

I’ve spent that time since 2015 learning how to cook well, meeting my lovely girlfriend Breonna, who I’m living with in Bountiful, and growing my hair out nice and long.

One of my favorite things in High School was the opportunity to have so many different friend groups, as having friends as an adult seems to require so much more planning and effort. I do miss the days of seeing all my friends at lunch. I’m lucky enough to have maintained a few friends from Sky View (shoutout to the Pantry Gang) and I’m excited to see some old friends at the reunion.

Bobcats!!! Our reunion was a success!! Thank you soooo much to everyone who came. We loved seeing all of you and hope to see more at the next one. We had fun looking around the school, eating, playing jeopardy, memorializing class members that have passed away, and catching up with one another. Thanks so much for your support bobcats!!! We truly appreciate it. If you would like to see the stain glass window that we donated to the school look at the last picture!!

We would like to continue the online reunion after our reunion we just had. We will post pictures of the reunion sometime next week. Please send those updates in. We are asking the following information for the updates:
-1-5 pictures
-2-3 updates of you these past 11 years
-where you are now, and a memory/things you have good memories you have of high school.

Enjoy an update from our friend Joe Krusi.

Hey guys it’s Joe krusi. Over the past 11 years, life has definitely taken me on a journey. One of the biggest updates in my life is that I got married in 2016 to my amazing wife and we now have three daughters 1.5, 4, 6 who keep life busy and meaningful. Another huge part of my life has been building my career as a heavy equipment mechanic. I’ve also become heavily involved in strongman competitions and have been chasing some pretty big goals in that world.
Right now I’m living in Salem Utah and continuing to work in the heavy equipment field mechanic while training competitively in strongman. Outside of work and training, most of my time is spent with family. I graduated with my diesel technologies degree in 2024 at MTEC in Spanish fork. Since then I’ve just focused heavily on my career and training to get my pro card. One memory from high school that has stuck with me all these years is the friendships and the feeling that everyone was figuring life out together. Looking back now, I realize how much those years helped shape the work ethic and determination I carry with me today.

Hi everybody its Colleen Coyle! Absolutely wild that a decade has flown by.

After graduation I moved to Danville, KY where I graduated with a bachelor’s in history and Latin American Studies. After that I joined the PeaceCorps in Guatemala and was there for 7 months before we were evacuated due to the pandemic. After that I landed in Tucson where I worked at a migrant shelter and met my now husband, Zachary. We moved to Minneapolis so that I could work for the Center for Victims of Torture where I supported international torture treatment centers. Sadly in 2025, my brother Bronson Fife, who some of you may have known, died from Chrondosarcoma.

In August of last year we moved to Baltimore so I can complete my MSW. We have a small dog named Phineas who keeps us on our toes!

My main memory is many hours spent in the debate room and Mrs.Koebbe’s hard work helping me pass the AP stats test - math wasn’t a strength then and still isn’t!
