Breezy Knoll Child Care Center is a Rhode Island Early Learning Standards-Based Center offering a warm, nurturing, and safe environment where children can learn and grow at their own pace. Our center was established in 1988, initially offering preschool and kindergarten for 52 children per day. Over the years, we have slowly expanded, and today we offer services for 81 children per day. At Breezy

Knoll, we pride ourselves on the excellence of care provided to our families. We have a hand-picked, highly qualified and trained staff, with well over 180 years of combined early childhood experience! Our staff is a tightly knit family that is devoted to the needs of each Breezy Knoll family. We consider our center a "home away from home," a place where parents can feel safe and confident that their children are receiving the best of care in a nurturing environment. When you walk through our doors, we are sure you will feel the genuine warmth and welcome on which we pride ourselves. Those qualities are what set us apart from other centers. We respect children as competent individuals with different rates of development and styles of learning. Inherent within our philosophy are the following principles:

Play is a child’s foremost avenue for learning. Learning is an interactive process, and we must prepare the environment for children so that they will learn through active exploration. Observation-based assessments are the best way to evaluate a child’s progress. A family is the first and most important teacher in a child’s life. We work together with you to support your child’s growth and development. Professional development is of prime importance in maintaining a quality teaching staff.
