Feel free to bring a friend! We love meeting new homeschool families. There's no cost to this event (except your frozen yogurt of course). No pressure to join our classes, but we'll be happy to tell you about them if you ask.

I've been thinking a lot about parenting lately—mostly because I've been having a lot of parent-teacher conferences with myself. It's that time of year, you know!

Parenting is one of the hardest and most rewarding things we'll ever do. While there isn't a perfect formula, I've found two things make the journey a whole lot easier:

❤️ Great friends. We all need people who can encourage us, remind us we're not alone, and help us navigate the hard seasons.

📚 Great resources. Sometimes the best thing we can do is learn from someone who's walked the road before us.

Neither of those comes without investment. Investing in relationships leads to lifelong friendships, and investing in wisdom can save us from having to learn every lesson the hard way.

One of my closest friends introduced me to Doorposts when my oldest children were still very young, and it's been one of my favorite parenting resources ever since.

I've also seen several of their resources available used at the Homeschool Gathering Place in Raleigh if you're hoping to build your library on a budget.

A few weeks ago, several of our hybrid classes were completely waitlisted.

We're excited to share that we've expanded our schedule and opened new class times, allowing us to welcome more homeschool families to Arbor Academy this fall!

To better serve our students, our hybrid program is now organized by age group:

📚 Math & Science (Monday & Wednesday)
🌱 Elementary: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
🎓 Middle/High: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM

📖 Humanities (Tuesday & Thursday)
🌱 Elementary: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
🎓 Middle/High: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM

🎨 Enrichment (Friday)
🌱 Elementary: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
🎓 Middle/High: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM

This new schedule gives students more age-appropriate learning experiences while allowing us to serve additional families this school year.
