Tomorrow!

10/13/2025

Tomorrow is a special day for one of our own. Many of you already know Harper Diamond, the 9-year-old 4-H member, who chose to donate the proceeds from her pig sale to help build the new Small Animal Barn at the Fayette County Fair. Her story has touched so many people, and tomorrow, she’ll be sharing it on The Kelly Clarkson Show!

We’d love to invite everyone to join us for a virtual watch party to cheer her on from home. Find out where and when to tune in: https://www.kellyclarksonshow.com/exclusives/where-to-watch?fbclid=IwdGRjcANTvLpjbGNrA1O8s2V4dG4DYWVtAjExAAEeCm520X4CY_1Wb1g7kZWoas05zZ_ZB8bZDpaHcrSm2rBze-SFqgKJj0CwCxY_aem_hqDET0AZmNkAa2tLt_nR-w

For anyone who’s been inspired by Harper’s act of generosity, and would link to donate directly to the barn project, you can do so here: https://www.fayettefair.com/fundraising

What started as one little girl’s thoughtful decision has grown into something truly special for our whole fair community.

Did you know...Friendship Hill National Historic Site is not the only former residence of Albert Gallatin that is preserved by the National Park Service?

From 1801 until 1813, when he was serving as Secretary of the Treasury, Gallatin rented the Robert Sewall house that sits today at 144 Constitution Avenue, NE. Following its burning at the hands of the British during their occupation of Washington D.C. in 1814, this house’s interior would be rebuilt. Beginning in 1929 the house served as headquarters of the National Woman's Party, a key political organization in the fight for women's suffrage up until its dissolution in 2021. The former Sewall house now currently operates as the Belmont–Paul Women's Equality National Monument another unit of the National Park Service.
